On their black background with fine white lines, the stone lithographies from the series Time Lines make an interesting contrast with the delicate drawings on japanese paper. The stone lithographies were done on the surface of the stone previous covered with a mixture of graphic asphalt, that provided the black background to make the drawings of fine white lines, done with a sharp engraving tool with a diamond point. The slow process of drawing in the stone take some days, and the manual process of printing requires an absolute concentration, due to the precise amount of ink that is necessary to obtain a deep black without blocking the white fine lines. The limited edition of 10 exemplars was printed on cotton Arches Velin.
The prints were presented on 2016 in A Cuadros gallery in Madrid,
Gabinete de Dibujos gallery in Valencia, and in Eland d’Arts, Paris.
The complete series was selected by F.I.G. Bilbao International Grafik Fair,
to take part on the Open Portfolio exhibition in september 2016.
In 2017 the prints will be part of the solo exhibition in Thaler Originalgrafik gallery, in the Leipzig Spinnerei. The 3rd Global Print 2017 and the 9th International Printmaking Biennial Douro 2018 will show also the stone lithographies and the photopolymers from Time Lines series.
