The drawings reproduced in this book are made with black ink on Japanese Ganpi. This paper was made by hand in a traditional way, with no chemical additives from the fibers of wild Ganpi plants, showing respect for the natural environment and especially the water of the rivers.
The Ganpi paper comes from the workshops of the Hasegawa, Nishimura and Nakahara families from the Aoya Valley, Tottori Province, with the Inshu Washi denomination of origin.

The drawings in the “Violin” series are based on a violin from
Klaus Ludwig Clement’s workshop.

The book unfolds symmetrically from the center to both sides of the cover. The front of the cover begins with the German text and the back of the cover begins with the Japanese text. Unlike Western books, Japanese books start from the reverse. Understanding this fact, the book has two reading directions that complement each other and met on the center page, where an original print on Ganpi paper will be placed.
